Privacy notice

What we collect

  • Your name, mobile number and email
  • The address where the chair will be used, and the handoff spot if we deliver or pick up
  • Your rental choices: plan, date, time window, how you receive and return the chair
  • Questions you ask in the online chat
  • Payment records: amount and whether it is paid
  • Problems you report by text after handoff

What we do not collect (currently)

  • Card numbers, bank account numbers or banking passwords
  • ID numbers: at handoff we look at your photo ID to confirm it is you. We only note “checked”; we do not write down or copy the number
  • If we change how you pay (for example automatic debit) and need new information, we will update this notice first

Why we use it

  • To review your rental request and decide whether to accept it
  • To text you (and email you when needed) the result, how to pay, due-date reminders and your appointment
  • To send Interac money requests
  • To arrange delivery, pickup, return, repairs and the deposit refund
  • To check that your address is in our service area
  • We do not sell your information or use it for advertising

Services we use

  • Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database), Twilio (text messages), Google (maps to check addresses; owner sign-in)
  • Google Gemini (AI chat): we send only your question, not your name, phone, email or address
  • YouTube (home page and how-to videos): it only connects when you press play
  • Their servers may be outside Canada (mainly in the United States), and your information may be accessed under the laws there

Text messages

  • When you apply, you agree to receive texts about this rental. Reply STOP anytime to stop

How long we keep it

  • Completed rentals: 2 years after the rental ends, then deleted
  • Requests that did not go ahead: 1 year, then deleted
  • Longer only if the law requires it (for example tax records)

Your rights

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent. Email zhiye7453@gmail.com with your order number. We reply within 30 days
  • If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC: oipc.bc.ca

  • When this notice changes we update the date on this page; for important changes we text you first
